Handling Error "HTML cannot be accepted" when Posting Blog

Are you new at blogging? Are you trying to publish a blog post and you are getting a strange error message that says "Your HTML cannot be accepted" - followed by some words like: meta equiv="Content-Type", etc?

I'll bet you typed your blog text into Microsoft Word or some other word processing program, and then copied and pasted the text into your blog post. Ja? Well, you can't. This is why you are receiving the error.

Unless the text is directly typed into the blog, or copied from a program like Notepad, you may get this error message. If you want to spell check some text ahead of time, copy the text from Notepad and paste it into a program like Word that has a spellchecker. But when you find your misspelled words, correct them in Notepad. Then copy and paste from Notepad into the blog post.

How do you find Notepad? Click Start / All Programs / Accessories. Then: right-click as you hover over Notepad and click Create a Shortcut. The shortcut should appear at the bottom of the list. Drag the shortcut to your desktop.
